Wiki Discussion Film Response READ THIS! IT IS IMPORTANT! Discussion Expectations:
Answer / comment on at least two of the questions associated with the films "In Deep Water: A Life in Peril" and "Blowout: Is Canada Next?" In addition, post at least three comments to the responses posted by others to continue the thread of conversation. You will be evaluated based on the rubric below. In short, Make sure your responses and posted comments are original, thoughtful and not too brief. Draw references from other sources and what you know yourself on the topic. The idea is to try to keep an interesting thread of conversation going in response to a number of different questions addressed by the films.
Also, this is a classroom conversation even though we are outside of the classroom. Post only professional and approriate responses. Anything deemed otherwise will be removed from the wiki page as will your access to the wiki assignment. Clearly this will negatively affect your mark.

When you write a response to the text or quote provided, you are expected to adhere to the followng format... 1. In your own words, state the author's (filmaker in this case) position. 2. State and compare your position with that of the author / filmaker. 3. Using specific examples form your own personal experience and / or observations (e.g. the films, reference to a book, another film, a newspaper article, the news, a converstation, etc.) support your position. 4. Make a final judgemment or draw a conclusion. 5. Pay attention to the quality of your writing (i.e. sentence structure, spelling, grammar). It all affects your communication of ideas!
